Self Myofacial Release(SMR) is a form of massage that breaks up trigger points (adhesions, knots or restrictions) within a muscle and can help with many musculoskeletal disorders (MSD), including; reducing or eliminating muscle tension, improvement in joint range of motion, reduced muscle soreness and improving the repair and growth of muscle tissue.


A foam roller is the easiest to use for the major muscle groups. It works by applying pressure to a trigger point, in the same way a massage therapist would, stimulating the muscle to repair and restore itself to normal function.


The Core Fitness Zone Foam Roller is a 2 in 1 roller.The outer roller has a High Density Trigger Point Grid, which is great for deep tissue massage. The inner roller is a Low Density soft roller, which is less painful for more sensitive areas of the body and also easier for people new to foam rolling.
